Commission Information
Thanks for your interest in a commission! Due to my many projects and freelance, I can only take on new work on a very limited basis, as time and schedule allow. Most of my work is digital these days. You will receive both high-resolution PNG and smaller screen-resolution JPG files of your commission. If any physical media is created, it may be shipped to you for an additional postage fee. If you have any questions, feel free to send an email!
Commission prices listed below are a general guideline, assuming a reasonable amount of clothing, props, and simple background detail to convey the story of the image. Actual prices may be adjusted due to increased complexity. Factors which may increase the price include: Detailed, complex, or highly specific clothes, jewelry, props, or background; complex tattoos, coat patterns, intricate wings, or other details; alternate versions; subjects requiring extensive research and reference materials; or anything that might substantially increase the amount of time needed to complete the commission. Prices are subject to change; review the Terms of Service for information about acceptable content, approval and revision process, payments, and copyright legalese.
Sketch
Classic simplicity and expressiveness. Sketches may be drawn digitally on a tablet, or in blue Col-Erase pencil on paper. The Col-Erase pencil has a waxy texture that helps prevent smearing.
Shaded Sketch
Take a simple sketch, and add a layer of digital watercolor-like monochromatic shading and tone. Simple and elegant.
Cel-Shaded Color
Cel-shaded color art is digitally inked and finished with flat coloring and a layer of hard animation-style shading to give form and weight. May include simple lighting effects or colored ink lines, as appropriate.
Single Character: $180+
Rendered Color
Rendered color art includes a digitally inked cleanup line with full color and airbrushed or painted shading, colored ink lines, subshadows, and lighting effects for a softer or more dramatic style.
Sequences & Comics
A sequence of commissions can show a character (or characters) experiencing growth, transformation, involved in an activity over time, etc. Sequences are eligible for a discount if the same character(s) appear through the entire sequence.
Comics will vary wildly in price depending on many factors: number of characters, complexity of layouts, average panels per page, etc. They’re not typically available, but if you have a serious inquiry, please get in touch.
